What Is Tapas?

Tapas is a style of eating originating in Spain in the 13th century. The word itself is derived from the Spanish verb 'tapar', meaning 'to cover.' Legend has it that bread and meat were placed over glasses in bars to keep the flies out of drinks. Since then, tapas has expanded to include appetizers, snacks and small dishes while keeping it's roots of good drinks with great company!
